She Loved a Lot in Her Time

"She Loved a Lot in Her Time" is a song by American country artist George Jones. It was composed by Randy Boudreaux, Sam Hogin, Kim Williams.
==Background==
The song was chosen as the second single from Jones' 1991 LP ''And Along Came Jones'', his first for MCA. Jones dedicated the song to his mother Clara, who died in 1974. Clara had played the organ at church when George was a boy, and it was at church that he learned guitar. In his 1995 autobiography, Jones confessed that after his mother's death someone found a note in her family Bible where she had written that she had "made a failure," - a reference to Jones who - despite being a country music superstar - had ruined many personal relationships with his drinking and reckless behavior. George made a video for the song, prefacing the clip with a dedication:
::"You know, if there's one person we turn to so many times in our lives when we need help in our troubles and trials and tribulations, we always turn to mamas. She's the main one, and a lot of time we take her so much for granted. I know I did mine, and I'd like to dedicate this to all mamas out there."
The song was not a hit, only making it to #55 on the ''Billboard'' country singles chart, and Jones began grousing to the media about the state of country radio. "I shouldn't have to beg for radio play," the singer complained in a November 1992 interview with ''People''. "It disgusts the hell out of me to see the way country has changed. There's just too much money involved now."
